About the Author, Jill Carroll

B. Jill Carroll is a lecturer in humanities and religious studies and the associate director of Boniuk Center at Rice University–Houston. She is the author of The Savage Side: Reclaiming Violent Models of God. Akbar S. Ahmed is the Ibn Khaldun chair of Islamic studies at American University in Washington, DC. He has written numerous books on Islam and is considered a leading authority on contemporary Islam.
