About the Author, Mark Robinson

MARK ROBINSON is currently Head of Profession for Governance and Conflict in the UK Department for International Development (DFID). He previously held appointments with the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, UK, the Ford Foundation, and the Overseas Development Institute. Publications include the 'The Democratic Developmental State: Politics and Institutional Design', 'Corruption and Development' and 'Non-Governmental Organizations and Rural Poverty Alleviation'.
