Synopsis
A textbook for a graduate course in computer simulation for students with a basic background in differential equations, numerical analysis, and FORTRAN programming. It explains how to model environment interactions when plastic sheeting is used in growing plants, considering the whole range from mulching (plastic lying on the soil between plants) through plant and row hoods, to full greenhouses. The second edition converts all the models into MATLAB from the now heritage software used in the 1992 edition, and makes them available on the Web. Annotation (c)2003 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
