Gr 5-8-- In this self-help book, Kramer discusses setting goals regarding career choices, education, personal development, and interpersonal relationships. She also identifies techniques for young teens to employ in order to achieve them. Issues such as instant gratification, time management, trade-offs, and fear of failure are addressed; the focus is on the empowerment of individuals to take responsibility for their own lives. While the author uses plenty of platitudes about coping with life, the approach remains largely clinical. --Pamela K. Bomboy, Chesterfield County Public Schools, VABook Details
