Egidio Trainito is a specialist in marine photography and marine biology. He is one of Italy's most reknowned underwater photographers and has collaborated with one of the foremost research centers and publishers in this field. He is the author of Sardinia: Guide to Diving (White Star), and he has contributed to several books on underwater diving. He has played a pivotal role in recent underwater archaeological excavations.
