Synopsis

This reference work provides information abut the men and women involved in producing English language translations of the Bible, or some portion of it. Arranged alphabetically by surname, each of the 346 entries includes the years of the translator's birth and death, place of birth, education, occupation, and literary achievements, as well as notes on the various editions, samples of the translation, and other relevant facts.
