Overview

CPA Berkowitz uses the corporate corruption scandal of Enron to advocate for his conception of business ethics. He goes over the basic facts of the operations that brought the energy company to bankruptcy and discusses the political reforms that are being proposed as a way to fix the problems. Ultimately, he argues that the reforms will not be successful without the promotion of organization cultures of ethical behavior. Fully half of the volume consists of documents relating to the Enron scandal and ethics, including memos and reports from Enron and Arthur Andersen, as well as the ethical guidelines of accountant associations.
