Gr 3-5-Strange but true facts presented in an oversized format. Displays describes how animals and plants communicate in order to attract a mate or scare off enemies. The use of warning colors, mimicry, camouflage, and displays of strength are mentioned. Feeders focuses on methods of obtaining food and looks at the unique and strange ways that big and small creatures and plants eat and what they consume. Fighters explains why and how conflict occurs in nature. In all three titles, the large, clear, action-packed photos are well matched to the texts and the captions provide additional information.
