A fish can be a wonderful pet and this selection in the "All About Pets" series uses simple declarative sentences to describe the major characteristics of fish—they live in water, they have fins and a tail. Like all living things they need food and clean water. Fish also need a tank that allows them room to swim. The "Words to Know" section contains more information than the book. Full-color pictures appear on the left-hand page and the single sentence text on the right. There is also a list of other books and Internet sites for more information as well as an index/word list.
