Children's Literature - Joyce Rice

Activities for more than 100 special days are sure to delight and intrigue early childhood teachers and childcare workers. Each holiday or special day has a 30 to 50-word description plus crafts and activities. Simple, household materials are all that are required for most of the projects. When appropriate, songs have been included as part of an activity. The birthday of A.A. Milne is celebrated by making Winnie the Pooh honey bears. John J. Audubon's birthday is celebrated by learning about bird watching and making a paper bird. It is a great way to learn and have plenty of inexpensive fun.
