YA-- A gem of a book that should be required reading for all YAs who seek a clear, calm understanding of some of today's controversial social and medical issues. Former Surgeon General Koop and ABC-TVs medical editor Timothy Johnson have written this book from a Christian standpoint, discussing through a letters format their opposing views on these four medical ethics issues. While the correspondence is cordial, the two men pull no punches. Each issue is addressed from a moral and medical standpoint, with each doctor advocating his position and punctuating the weaknesses of the opposing argument. This book gives a sane, digestible, conservative rationale to both sides of some very emotionally charged topics.-- Carol Beall, Immanuel Christian School, Springfield, VA
