Overview

Focusing on Mechanical Desktop's Designer and Assembly modules in an applied learning environment, this text will guide the student through the process of generating 3-D parametric models, producing 2-D views, and assembling parts together. Each chapter introduces a topic and then takes the user through a step-by-step example of its use, followed by practice exercises based upon real world problems taken from many design disciplines, showing the user how to apply Mechanical Desktop to industry. As there are many ways to complete models using Mechanical Desktop, the exercises are designed to encourage experimentation.
