As a sequel to Cavanaugh's previous work, The Sower's Seeds (Paulist Pr., 1990), this book provides its readers with 100 additional anecdotes that illustrate a variety of ideas and themes. Collected by the author from a number of sources, the items are brief and quickly illustrate the point. To assist the reader in selecting a story aimed at a particular idea, Cavanaugh includes a helpful theme index, listing topics and the corresponding story numbers. Also, this work includes a reading list for additional sources of anecdotes and illustrations. It will be most helpful for pastors, teachers, and those involved in public speaking.-- Joanna M.
