Each chapter covers simple, pet bird questions such as acquisition, feeding, cage, cleaning, and health. There are a number of photographs of the colorful, feathered friends from parakeets to finches to parrots. The variety of the birds' colors is amazing and the beautiful, feathered creatures capture the attention of the reader. The pictures have captions and labels for the different pet birds. There is a very simple glossary of three words. Included in the book are a few additional bird book titles and internet addresses to provide more information about bird and pet ownership. Although the content of each chapter is clear in its title, readers will also find an index in the back of the book.
