Overview

Nely Galan, nicknamed "The Cuban Missile", is a businesswoman and Hollywood producer. She heads her own production company, named gaLAn entertainment. One of her main goals has been to develop TV and video projects that are aimed at Latina and Latino audiences. Among her other projects are a self-help book for Latina women, and a play called Dulce. Ms. Galan is also a member of the National Board of the Smithsonian Institution, which selects what types of things are worthy of display in museums.

A biography of the young Cuban American woman who rapidly moved from high school student to magazine editor to president of her own television production company.
