Kate Spohn was six years old when she drew a Dalmatian puppy and won tickets to the opening premier of the animated movie 101 Dalmatians. Growing up in the small country town of Falls Village, Connecticut, influenced her writing and artistic style. Today Kate is the author-illustrator of over 30 books. She is happy to live in New York City, where good friends, good music, good cupcakes, and good fashion are only a couple of blocks away.
