The only exception is Delaney Mirabella “Belle” Richards, who won’t let him talk her into his bed. Gorgeous no-nonsense businesswoman Belle has a weakness for “tall, pretty boys with killer smiles, tight bodies, and serious bedroom game,” but she has had her fill of “cotton-candy people.” As Beau pursues seduction and Belle resists, their witty banter (“What do you think I’m thinking?” “You’re thinking I’m a challenge and you’re a little bored”) leads to an easy-going friendship and agreeable working relationship. A family emergency proves Beau is more than a pretty face, and the two heat up the pages with electrifying sex scenes.
