About the Author, Horatio Alger

Horatio Alger, Jr. (1832-1899) was an American novelist, best known for his serialized stories and novels depicting working-class youth in the pursuit of the American dream. Alger wrote more than 500 books and it’s been estimated that more than twenty million copies were published in his lifetime.
