Children's Literature

Treating people with respect means treating them as if they are important, because everyone is important. Examples of ways to show respect help young readers understand the concept. The lesson is related to friendships, family relationships and cultures. Historical examples are also offered. Activities are included that will reinforce the lesson. It is often difficult for adults to know if they are teaching young children enough about the values of life, and respect for other people. This series "First Facts, Everyday Character Education" addresses a variety of behaviors, and is a great tool for early childhood teachers, as well as parents.
