Overview

John is a quiet, somewhat introverted, college history professor in Washington, D.C., currently writing a book about the links between ancient cultures. But when his two sons find an old computer with a mysterious data file in the attic of their new house, his life is turned upside down. From the Mayan ruins of Copan in Honduras to the desert sands of western Iraq, John will follow a trail of intrigue as family secrets reveal themselves, guiding him to a place far below the world we know. His faith will be tested as everything he has ever believed in-everything any of us have ever believed in-will be shattered and his family's true destiny ultimately revealed.

Synopsis

After the publication of his first novel, John Moran and his family are living in virtual seclusion in New Orleans. They are approached by a stranger who possesses one of three ancient artifacts, similar to one given to John a year earlier. The recovery of the third object may very well hold the key to unlock an ancient secret with profound implications for the entire human race. From the inner circles of power in Washington DC, to the Giza Plateau in Egypt, John and his family are swept along on a journey that ultimately leads them to a discovery which will alter man's understanding of his past ... and reshape his hopes for the future.
