Tsai offers an overview of the works on paper of one of the most influential and revolutionary artists since WWII, Robert Smithson, who died in an airplane crash in 1973 at the age of 35. Includes eight color plates and 102 b&w reproductions of drawings and colleges now being shown in an exhibit organized by Tsai at the Wallach Gallery at Columbia U. Also included are a previously unpublished anthology of Smithson's early poems and essays, a film outline, and his interviews with art historian and filmmaker Dennis Wheeler. Annotation c.
