Overview
This comprehensive survey on the state of the art of SystemC in industry and research is organised into 11 self-contained chapters. Selected SystemC experts present their approaches in the domains of modelling, analysis and synthesis, ranging from mixed signal and discrete system to embedded software.
Synopsis
SystemC is a system description language created to deal with SoC designs. Müller (Paderborn University, Germany) presents contributions from presentations given at European SystemC User Group meetings, highlighting the state of the art in system level design methods and modeling approaches for using SystemC. Contributions discuss aspects of modeling, analysis, and synthesis, and range from mixed signal and discrete systems to embedded software. Some specific topics are system level performance estimation, an ASM-based SystemC simulation semantics, and design protocol dominated digital systems. Annotation ©2003 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
