Synopsis
Eleven academics and researchers from the U.S. and Canada contribute ten essays centered around the positive role of love in the educational setting. They do not advocate the inappropriate types of doting, preoccupied, and dependent relationships, nor romantic love in the school setting, but rather focus on the "creative, critical, disruptive, and destructive dimensions of cognitively engaged, emotionally charged, and loving relationships with content and with students" which can lead to more effective teaching and learning.
