Overview
Weather holds both a direct and indirect impact on daily life. Sunny or raining, hot or cold, these conditions on a given day may influence where we go, how we dress and what we do from day to day. On a larger scale, however, weather patterns and meteorological phenomenon shape the arc of the planet's history and the civilizations it houses. A hurricane may decimate a city, a flood may wipe out the majority of a population, changing the course of history. Rainfall over time creates rivers which cause erosion and create such wonders as the Grand Canyon. Weather plays a varied role in the world, this book examines the elements which combine to create or influence weather and therefore, to influence life on earth.Project Webster represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books.
