About the Author, Monica McKayhan

Monica McKayhan writes adult and young-adult fiction. She currently has six titles in print. Three are adult novels and three are part of an ongoing young-adult series, Indigo Summer. The first book in the series, Indigo Summer, was the launch title for Harlequin's young-adult imprint, Kimani TRU, which made its debut in January of 2007. In May of that same year, Indigo Summer snagged the #7 position on the Essence bestseller list, another first for Kimani Press. It also appeared on the bestseller list in the May 2007 issue of Black Issues Book Review. Indigo Summer appeared on the American Library Association's list of 2008 Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Adult Readers.

Monica most recently placed three additional titles in the series with Harlequin's young-adult imprint, Kimani TRU. She is a CTM with Toastmasters International and is also a member of the Authors Guild. She lives in the Dallas area with her family.
