About the Author, Vijay S. Vyas

V. S. Vyas is professor emeritus at the Institute of Development Studies in Jaipur. He has also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, DC. In India, he has served as a member of the National Commission on Integrated Water Planning, and as a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet.
