The Social Fabric of Health: An Introduction to Medical Anthropology

This new text for courses in Medical Anthropology, one of the hottest areas in the discipline as a whole, looks at CULTURAL definitions of health to look at health itself—which means that it is not so much about healing/medicine as it is about the entire social/cultural construct of health. The text attempts to bridge the gap between physical and cultural approaches to medical anthropology.
