Dewey has assembled 101 library projects that have been automated. They represent responses to a questionnaire (3500 sent) regarding microcomputer use in libraries. Success stories, new ideas, and projects include contact people and their e-mail, fax, address, and phone numbers. Software and hardware costs are also part of the project description. Projects are organized into categories (administration, bibliography generation, children's reading club, circulation systems/online catalogs, etc.). All types of libraries are represented: special, school, public, college. Three appendixes contain computer periodicals of interest, project software descriptions and costs, and computer software companies. This optional purchase gives an idea of the breadth of possible computer projects and might be of use to grant writers. 2000, ALA, 224p, bibliog, index, 23cm, 99-38371, $42.00; ALA members, $37.80.
