About the Author, Mary Young

Mary Young was born in Lake Forest, Illinois, and lived in the Chicago area until her marriage. She and her husband are the parents of five children and 18 grandchildren. Paper dolls were always a favorite pastime of Mary's as a child. She began collecting paper dolls 35 years ago and she has written numerous books on the subject.
