Overview
At long last, Inspector Douglas Roper is able to get away from England to Greece for a much-needed vacation. He spends his mornings at an archeological dig in Crete, and his afternoons sightseeing with Miss Carmody, an attractive and intelligent woman, with an alluring aura of independence. But Roper's peaceful, idyllic holiday is interrupted when he discovers Mrs. Gribo, one of the guests at his hotel, brutally murdered in her ransacked room.
