Book Magazine

Brown is the author of forty-nine bestsellers, but you wouldn't know it from this romance novel. What little story exists concerns Shelley Browning, a divorcée who goes back to college and is reunited with a former teacher who was once the object of her desire. She still longs for him and he aches for her, but she worries about her reputation, his career and his true intentions until you want to pummel her with your cassette. Narrator Karen Ziemba does a remarkable job with the meager material.
