These books provide a way for collectors to artfully display, enjoy, and care for their collections. Ohrbach (Antiques at Home) investigates why people collect and gives a shopping guide for those who just like to shop. She discusses the care of glass, ceramics, silver, and textiles with a list of restorers and care supply sources as well as a reading list. She also provides a guide to the antiques market in international cities from Hong Kong to Manhattan. The book is filled with color photographs that highlight collectors' homes and show how collections have been used to enhance their decor. Ohrbach also interviews collectors and dealers, such as collector Kip Forbes and the owners of William Doyle Auction Galleries. Hueston continues in the tradition of other "Country Living" books with a practical guide to displaying collections. The examples come from the pages of Country Living magazine, so a country style is predominant. Captioned color photographs detail how the collections are displayed. Hueston's book is recommended for all public libraries; Ohrbach's for large interior design collections only. Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.
