Editorials

David Dodwell

...Windows stands as testament to his unrelenting, passionate rebuke of those who stray from the path of multilateral trade and economic liberalization....Readers will derive pleasure from this book, not only because of its simplicity and eloquence, but because of the zeal with which Bhagwati vents on those he most dislikes.
β€” Far Eastern Economic Review

David Warsh

. . .Bhagwati is at the top of the class of smooth-writing economists. This collection of his articles is an excellent tour d'horizon of free trade and immigration issues.

Rushford Report

If your idea β€” like mine β€” is that a great book on international economics is one that you don't have to be an economist to enjoy, a book that has almost no impenetrable economists' charts, you'll love this one. Bhagwati writes beautifully, displaying a droll, educated, wit.

Adrian Karatnycky

Anyone who reads this engaging description of the ways the world works will emerge a lot less confused and at least a little more optimistic.
