Overview

Written for beginning through advanced users, this current edition presents detailed explanations for applying the tools needed to create architectural working drawings using the latest release of Architectural Desktop (ADT). Step-by-step tutorials in every chapter offer hands-on opportunities for readers to employ the 2004 software in the creation of floor plans, foundation plans, elevations, sections, and presentation drawings for a two-story residence. Early chapters explore the placement and editing of doors, walls, windows, and roofs, while later chapters explain how to develop mass models using the model explorer to represent the shape of a building. Additional tutorials have been included that survey the techniques in creating drawings for commercial buildings. The accompanying CD-ROM contains drawing files needed for finishing the tutorials in the book, as well as completed tutorials for reference when assistance is needed.
