The purpose is to encompass the ever-increasing role of technology into neurosurgical practice. The editors systematically highlight the advances made in neurosurgical imaging a century ago and then not only limits their presentation to the present diagnostic modalities but go a step further to foresee the future modifications and utilization. The editors' objectives, apart from being worthy, have indeed been achieved in the book. From both the editors' and my perspective, this book is primarily intended for residents, research fellows in neurosciences, and for practitioners in neurosurgery, neurology, neuroradiology, and interventional radiology.
