Affirming Faith: A Congregation's Guide to Confirmation

Affirming Faith assists congregations in leading youth ages twelve through sixteen - and the adults who guide them - through explorations of questions of faith during the faith formation process, joyously celebrated in the rite of confirmation. Based on the United Church of Christ Statement of Faith, these resources approach confirmation as a lifelong process of learning in the full life of a congregation. Written by lay and clergy youth leaders, and based on extensive research into confirmation practices throughout the United Church of Christ, Affirming Faith uses Scripture experientially and employs a teaching-learning model that involves all persons in teaching and learning.
