About the Author, E. Betsy Ross

Eleanora Betsy Ross founded A Ray of Hope, Inc., in 1977, following the loss of her husband by suicide. An acknowledged expert on suicide prevention and postvention, Mrs. Ross is a member of the American Association of Suicidology and the Association for Death Education and Counseling. She lives in Iowa City, Iowa.
