Synopsis
Among the aims of a September 2002 conference was the creation of new international collaborations to take advantage of new developments in Eastern Europe, particularly Romania, in research on differential systems. This work contains selected contributions presented at that conference, focusing on qualitative aspects of deterministic and stochastic differential equations. Areas covered include ordinary and partial differential systems, optimal control of deterministic and stochastic evolution equations, control theory of partial differential equations, and inverse problems.
