About the Author, Katy Gardner

Katy Gardner is Lecturer in Social Anthropology at the University of Sussex and is the author of several books including Global Migrants, Local Lives (1995) and Songs at the River’s Edge (Pluto Press, 1997). David Lewis is Lecturer in Social Policy at the London School of Economics. He is author of several books including Trading the Silver Seed (1996) and International Perspectives on Voluntary Action (1999).
