About the Author, Denise Pivarnik-Nova


Denise Pivarnik-Nova is an AP English Teacher and an independent consultant for the Midwest Office of the College Board in AP English and English Vertical Teams (pre-AP). She has been an English AP Exam reader for over 16 years. She has taught freshman literature and composition at the college level as well as in high school. In addition to working on College Board publications and other AP prep materials, Denise is a teacher and College Advisor at Breck School in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Every summer she facilitates AP English teacher workshops throughout the Midwest.
