Reviewer: Bradley S. Bessant, OD(University of Alabama at Birmingham)
Description: This book is a collection of chapters by highly regarded authors in optometry. The author organizes these chapters into an organized presentation of vision theories and vision therapies.
Purpose: This book is intended for students and practitioners and some allied heath care disciplines interested in applying vision therapies. This book covers a wide range of different vision therapies and how they can be integrated into patient care and does it well.
Audience: As I mentioned before, this book is written for optometry students, practitioners, and other disciplines, such as occupational therapy, cognitive rehabilitation, learning disorders, psychology, orthoptics, and ophthalmology interested in applying vision therapy.
Features: This book has a typical appearance and presentation with an interesting addition. Included with the book is a 3.5 inch diskette that contains many different vision therapy forms and a variety of letters. All of the illustrations and references are topical and current to the text. The table of contents is well laid out and flows in a predictable manner.
Assessment: This is a useful, high quality book that would be a welcomed addition to any student or practitioner's library.
