Overview

Artistik London is for anyone with a passion for the arts. Besides mapping the mainstream stars in the city's creative firmament - Tate Britain, the Royal Albert Hall, the Globe Theatre - it ventures off piste into insider territory: the artists' studios, small but influential galleries and edgy performance spaces. It's the perfect guide to the most exciting cultural city in the world.

About the Author, Simon Cropper

Simon is a British writer who has lived outside Britain for a third of his life; longer, if you count London as a country in its own right. Since moving to the capital some years ago, he’s spent a commendable amount of time in its cultural powerhouses, substations and fuseboxes. He writes and pontificates widely on film, food and the arts, and is unshakeable in his conviction that Romy Schneider was the most beautiful actress of all time. Unless it was Donna Reed.

Longtime Parisian Alain Bouldouyre, artistic director of Senso magazine, is the author of My Paris Sketchbook. There, in Figaro and Le Monde, and in the many travel guides he has illustrated for French publishers, he repeatedly demonstrates his finely honed ability to capture the spirit of place in line and color.
