Synopsis

Princess Tansy knows that whenever something terrible occurs in her kingdom, the ogre gets the blame. Yet anyone who challenges him is turned to stone! Tansy's two oldest brothers have been forbidden to fight the ogre, but they're determined to try. Can Tansy and her friends save the boys from a horrible fate?

Children's Literature

Princess Tansy's kingdom is plagued by an ogre who lives in the mountains just above the village. The king always says that there could be other explanations for things like stolen sheep or burnt down taverns, but the villagers blame the ogre for everything that goes wrong in their lives. Eight brave men have gone to fight the ogre and all have been turned to stone. When Princess Tansy's brothers decide they should go face the ogre, Tansy is afraid of what will happen. She invites her three princess friends—Lysandra, Fatima, and Elena—to help her solve the problem of the ogre by using their magical powers and hopefully saving her brothers. Things are more than they seem when the girls finally encounter the ogre, and many adventures follow. With lessons about inner and outer beauty making up the moral core of the book, the third book in the "Princess Power" series is harmless, fluffy, fun.
