"Learning in the Natural World" is a series of books that feature colors, shaped, animals and the alphabet. The board books have a die cut hole through the front cover and printed on the last page is the subject of the book. In this one it is the color orange. In Orange there is more variety with a combination of plants, animals, and a canyon that has an orange tone. The toucan has a large orange beak and fruits like mangos, persimmons, papayas, and oranges are featured. The first three may not be too familiar with babies and parents. Animals such as a gold fish make an appearance along with pretty flowers such as marigolds, daisies, and bird of paradise. It is really a delightful look at how many animals and plants are vibrant orange. The pictures are sharp and the sturdy pages are nicely composed with a crisp white background.
