Revolving around the antics of the quilting society, the growth of Zach, and the hearts of Maggie and Ellie Newcomb, this book is a pleasant way to pass a few hours.... once the plot twists started coming, I couldn't put it down. The story mixes old-fashioned, small-town values with a little bit of snake-oil savvy, which gives it a unique flavor. The characters struck an interesting balance, one I figured they would find but wasn't quite sure how. In spite of the shady dealings and lies that spur the book onward, all the characters were understandable and likeable and good-natured, even when doing something they knew they shouldn't.
