Synopsis

Trey Latimer lived just a stone's throw away from Frances "Frankie" Tracker, his old buddy's kid sister. Trey had returned to the Dakotas to rebuild his life following a shattered career and a broken marriage. He's toyed with the idea that there might possibly be some sparks left between him and Frankie. With the bad moonrise one hot August night came trouble. Someone tried to murder Frankie's brother. And it's possible -- even likely -- that the attempted murderer was Trey's own father or brother. The bad blood between their families hadn't completely dissipated, and now the battle lines were drawn. As acting county sheriff, Trey would have to do the right thing -- no matter who got hurt. But could he betray his own flesh and blood, if necessary -- even for the strong and sensuous woman he loved more than life itself?
