Synopsis
It's story time with Tiny the Mouse--and such a little creature can't tell tall tales, only small tales! Just right for the attention span of the youngest toddlers, each one is only a page long, filled with colorful pictures, and featuring playthings all kids will recognize and love. While reading these charming stories, children will learn numbers, shapes, colors, and concepts...and be encouraged to make up some tales of their own!
School Library Journal
PreS-Despite the fact that all of the 16 mini-stories in this oversized collection focus on common toddler activities, such as kicking, building, sliding, and celebrating, not one of them hits the mark. Tiny, a nondescript mouse, is the focus of the episodes, each of which is illustrated with six small pictures per page. Unfortunately, the writing is weak and the flat, bland illustrations resemble coloring-book art. Each selection ends with the line, "Goodbye, Tiny. See you soon!" Let's hope not.-JoAnn Jonas, Carlsbad City Library, San Diego, CA Copyright 2002 Cahners Business Information.
