Synopsis

Join the mouse from If You Give a Mouse a Cookie as he bakes his own cookies in his little mouse house.

Children's Literature

Mouse decides to bake up a batch of chocolate chip cookies. He assembles the ingredients and makes quite a mess in the kitchen. Exhausted from his efforts, he relaxes and is awakened from his nap by a batch of overdone cookies. Mouse then proceeds to bake hundreds of delicious cookies and, best of all, he shares them with a friend, Kids who are familiar with If You Give a Mouse a Cookie may enjoy seeing a favorite character in another story. While there is some humor in this board book, most of which is due to the illustrations, on the whole there is nothing to make this book a real standout.
