School Library Journal

PreS-K--Big features double-page spreads depicting children of all colors--not just brown and pink, but also light blue and light pea green. Each child is wearing an "oversized" article of clothing--described as gigantic, enormous, big, huge, tremendous, and jumbo. Along with the synonyms, colors and articles of clothing are identified, making this concept book useful on several levels. In Ten, each illustration depicts an oversized white numeral with a corresponding number of Haring's vibrant stylized figures. The word for the number is offered in English, Spanish, French, and German. In both titles, boldly colored drawings outlined in black will engage very young children. Appealing additions to any board-book collection.--Lisa Falk, Los Angeles Public Library.
