An exciting introductory chapter covers the 1989 discovery of the Bismarck on the floor of the east Atlantic. The remainder of the book is devoted to the history of this once hated and feared warship. Brief chapters discuss the ship's history, its early construction and launching, its encounter with the Hood , and the final battle that sent it to the bottom of the sea. Large print and wide margins make the text inviting. Two four-color maps showing the last voyage of the Bismarck are included with the many vintage photos. Captions give additional information.
